Southside House is a 17th century Dutch Baroque mansion situated in the south east corner of Wimbledon Common. Inside the majority of the house has been kept and restored to its original state even down to details such as candle lighting and open fires. A full range of historical artworks are kept there such as a portrait of angelic Kauffman and George Romney's famous portrait of Emma. The added attraction of this house is the original necklace worn by Marie Antoinette on the day of her execution.
