Wilberforce House Museum was the birthplace of William Wilberforce, who was well known for his fight to abolish slavery, this 17th century merchant's house traces the rise and fall of the slave trade. Displays tell the story of slavery and tools of the trade bringing home the inhumanity of this once thriving traffic. Also on display is a Victorian Parlour, an oak panelled banqueting room and Georgian rooms.
